Students from Michelle Gauci Academy brought music, movement and festive joy to residents at Hunters Down Care Home this December, as part of the academy’s ongoing commitment to community performance and connection.

On 13th December, children and young people from across the academy visited the Huntingdon care home to share a heart-warming Christmas performance. The afternoon featured a lively mix of singing, dancing and acting, with performers of different ages working together to create a joyful and uplifting experience for residents.

The performance was met with smiles, clapping and plenty of singing along, as residents joined in with the festive spirit. Staff at Hunters Down Care Home praised the visit, sharing how much residents enjoyed the energy and enthusiasm of the young performers and how special it was to see different generations connecting through music and performance.

Michelle Gauci, founder of Michelle Gauci Academy, said:

“It was an honour and a pleasure to perform for the residents at Hunters Down. Seeing the smiles, the singing along and the genuine connection between our students and the residents was incredibly special."

Community performances like this form an important part of life at Michelle Gauci Academy, giving students meaningful opportunities to perform while using the arts to bring people together. These visits also help young performers build confidence, empathy and a sense of pride in sharing their creativity beyond the studio.
